Overview
ECHO is an immersive platform concept for artists—built around discovery, connection, and a cohesive visual identity. Many are finding that they are left without resources, connections, and opportunities to kickstart their journey in breaking through the industry. This project will focus on the unification of artists, musicians, producers, record labels, and other individuals active in the field. Through this, users will have an accessible opportunity to build their network, share their work, and overall, make the artist discovery process easier for professionals in the industry.
Case study
-
Problem
With the number of independent artists on the rise within the music industry, many are finding themselves unsure of how to capitalize on the use of varying social media platforms to promote their music, make connections, and, overall, kick-start their journey breaking into the industry.
-
Research
Consolidated with a combination of personal creative practice, observation of emerging artists, and analysis of early-stage artist development workflows via social media such as tiktok and instagram.
-
Projected Outcomes and Imapcts
To help emerging artists define their identity earlier in their process; reduce misalignment between sound, visuals, and branding; support more efficient collaboration between artists, producers, and creative teams; and provide A&R (Artist & Repertoire) teams with a structured starting point for development conversations.
